Thinking of getting married in our home state, then a symbolic ceremony where we are going on Vacation

My finance and I are not sure if it will be easier to wed in our home state California, however would like a ceremony on the beach in Puerto Rico - where he is from...does anyone know if it is more difficult to get married in Puerto Rico, we will only be there a week so we wont have much time..also i see an officiants price runs about 300 in PR, would it be less expensive for a symbolic ceremony on the beach in PR.....so many decisions so little time!

I would look at the legalities of getting married in PR. Usually when you get married out of the country, you have to go through additional paperwork and license procedures to make it legal in the US. I am not sure about PR specifically but that is something to think about!
