A picture of a person taken by a point and shoot while they're on the edge of a kiddie's bed in too small panties is NOT boudoir. Just because you're half nekkid doesn't make it a boudoir. It's a God damn art!

I really would love to give it a shot. I've actually talked about them with my husband before and he did say that he'd be more comfortable with a woman photographer (damn shame, we've got some great male photographers around here).

I get more and more requests for these - just shot a session last week for a girl who wanted to give her husband a first anniversary gift. Boudoir is a very special art - you really have to understand light, angles, and most of all, what pushes a guy's buttons. As a female photographer, I think I do have some advantage having women feel comfortable in front of me. I would love to post some images, but I could never, ethically, have any of my clients' images posted - privacy, naturally. If they want to post them themselves, that's fine!

If you choose to do it, find a photographer that has some experience in this area, and ask to see a (usually print, rather than online) portfolio to get a sense of their style and ability to make you look totally scrumptious.
