They won't go get fitted!

Happily Engaged, on July 21, 2014 at 6:30 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

Groomsmen still have not gone to get fitted. FH has been checking in with them and they keep saying "oh. I'm gonna do it this week". That has Been the saying each week for about a month now. One actually told fh he needed to wait until he got paid. Okay. I get that. Maybe that's the case with everybody else but who knows.

They only have another week or two then the rental shop said it may be hard to reserve the tux they need if they wait til mid August. Wedding is in September. Uggh! The frustration

They will probably do it last minute. Getting fitted is not the huge production finding a dress is, so most guys will put it off until the deadline. Find out a deadline from the shop, let them know, remind them a week before and let them know no tux=no wedding and that the deadline is not yours, its the store's. A few of ours guys did it in the last few days but everyone got it done.

Where at? Men's Wearhouse said they charge a rush fee if less than 2 weeks out and can't guarantee the exact right size. Husband told all the guys the "rules" of Men's Wearhouse up front and left them alone. They all managed to get it done before the 2 week rush fee kicked in (and got the correct sizes).

Yeah. Men's warehouse. I'll have fh tell them the "rules" and leave it at that

We had some boys lag as well. They had a month to go get fitted and I basically told FH to tell them that if they did not get fitted in the allotted time we could not guarantee them a tux and that would mean that they would be coming as a guest bc of their negligence. All but one did, he was out of country and when he got back he got fitted and all is good and well. Far as I know for a tux a down payment is not that much, ours was $20 a tux, sounds like an excuse

I only have one hold out. But we were told that they didnt need to be fitted until one month before. 3 weeks for the three boys. We actually took one of the boys today and were told it was early, but with scheduling and such, we might not have had another chance. Should he have a growth spurt we'll have to do it again closer to.

Yes. Kaesey. Their deposit is 20$. Fh is fed up and is just saying whoever has their tux will be in the wedding. Those who don't won't be

FH got his the WEEK OF in his sister's wedding. For shame.

Luckily, grooms attire isn't as complicated as girls. They just need to go get it.

Guys are such procrastinators. Pretty sure that's how our GM will be too. -__-

2 of our groomsmen rented their jackets the day before the wedding.
