Themed-wedding Save-the-dates/invitations

Kayla, on July 15, 2019 at 11:55 AM Posted in Planning 0 16
Hello! So I am having a Legend of Zelda themed wedding. I want to incorporate that theme into my save-the-dates and wedding invitations. However, I still want to keep it elegant and romantic rather than tacky or geeky. How do I go about doing this? Do I have to DIY them completely by scratch myself, or is their a website that would allow me to customize templates in a way that I could add what I want to the templates? Also, I want to keep this affordable!

I’m not sure many websites or designers will do Zelda themed save the dates because of copyright issues, but you could reach out to someone on Etsy to see if they could do something custom.

Awesome! I love themed weddings. So dang unique. Hmm... what about hiring a designer from Etsy (or looking there for “Legend of Zelda invitations”) to design the invite template then print them at home or Fed Ex?

Another idea, can you find a “fantasy wedding invitation” on Zazzle then drop in the Zelda symbol? Since you’re not using a copyrighted symbol to make money, they *may* let it slide and print it. Worth a try.

I went On vistaprint (they will pretty much print anything 🙌) I have print many Disney themed things through them with no issues where other print shops have refused. I was going to design my save the dates but ended up actually finding one that worked with the Disney theme. It had a pathway to a castle with a bride and groom on the pathway. It had old style lettering.

So Etsy does have a lot of LOZ templates, they are a little cheesy bc they’re for kids birthdays but I recommend contacting the seller directly so they can customize and class it up for you. I’ve never had a seller refuse to work with me on a custom item, sometimes they just charge a little extra. You could also just find a pretty floral template and make it bright green and yellow with a fantasy looking font. These pics are not an answer to your question but I just got so excited to find another Zelda fan I wanted to share some items I’ve ordered! We’re not having a theme but I had to throw in some subtle touches. Ring box, champagne glasses with our names in ocarina 64 font, and cake topper with our last name in ancient sheikah from botw.

I decided that I'm doing this! Made my own invitations and then converted them to JPEG so that I could upload them to vistaprint. Thank you!

Those are awesome!!! My fiancé proposed with a Zelda ring box! And we will probably use it for the ceremony as well. I was definitely planning on getting Zelda glasses for toasts too!

I'm doing fairy bottle centerpieces which I'm SO excited about, a Zelda-themed guestbook, Zelda music for ceremony as well as during the meal at the reception, and more!
