Hello ladies. I have this idea that I'm slowly falling in love with the more I plan it out in my head but wanted to see if others thought it would be as fun. I'm thinking of planning an intimate wedding of about 30 only parents, siblings, my kids, and 2-3 of both my and my FH's closest friends. Friday mid-day ceremony and reception would occur at Hard Rock hotel Universal Studios. We'd do a fairly short ceremony with a 1 hour cocktail reception (4 pass apps, alcohol, pasta station, and cake). I'd charter some type of bus to transport as many of the guests that would like to the location that morning. After reception we would hang out around the hotel (pool, spa, volleyball etc) and that night we would hit CityWalk for bars and music, etc. FH and I would also purchase Universal Studio tickets for everyone in the party that would like to attend for Saturday and we would venture the park together. It sounds so fun to me and would be a great time for our family and kids. Yay or nay?

Sounds awesome. Maybe get input from everyone invited about the types of rides they like and such so you know where alot of your time may be spent if you are all sticking together. Heck you may be able to get a coaster train to your group if you take to staff, that'd be an interesting group shot.

Wow never heard of this! Does someone have a good camera if you're not getting a photographer? May still want some good quality shots to remember the day.

@Mrs- I still plan on having a photographer for the ceremony and reception. I just meant we wouldn't need him/her all day as we'll have a shorter reception. I found a photog that has discounted rates for less hours than the standard. For the park day we'll just use regular cameras, no biggie there.

That sounds amazing. I wish I lived near a theme park!

Definitely reserve some tables while bar hopping, it may get a little crazy on a Friday night with the crowds.

Also, I'd be half tempted to wear my wedding dress (with tennis shoes) into the park! Too crazy WW? If you don't mind it getting a little trashed, how amazing would those pictures be?!! Going down the Jurassic Park ride and taking pictures in front of Hogwarts Castle in your wedding dress?! That's my new fantasy.

Hey Kay! We are getting married at the same spot a few weeks apart from each other! Im super excited and all my guest are too. We just got engaged there this past April and it will be our 4th time as a couple going together. Just wanted to ask how planning was going? If you wanted to talk maybe we can help each other out with ideas. I just got my wedding planner the other day. If you dont mind me asking, who are you using for a photographer?

Hey @SoonToBe! Planning has been going well for the most part. Is Angela your wedding planner? I do not yet have a photographer chosen but I actually may choose one I have been eyeing from the Tampa area. I haven't had the chance yet to view the preferred vendors list Heather at HRH sent over. How's planning on your end? Which ceremony spot was your preference?

Hey just noticed you mentioned back. Im working with Kim as my wedding planner. Ginger Midgett is my photographer. Planning is going pretty good for us though. We have pretty much all of our vendor picked out just have to book them. We decided to have a harpist for the ceremony. I think we are going with the butterfly garden or the grotto.
