Is anyone else nervous for the wedding night? We have been together for a while, but have never had sex. But we were watching a movie last night and there was a sex scene, which got me thinking.. I have no idea what I am doing!! Lately we have talked about 'doing it' but at the same time, I figure we have waited so long I might as well just wait for the wedding night. But at the same time, I don't want anything to be awkward on weird on our wedding night.

I say if the moment arises before then go for it. Passionate spontaneous sex is way better than overthought out/building up the moment sex. That is just too much pressure to put on yourself. If you're going on your honeymoon right after your wedding it may not be the best experience because you'll both still be a bit awkward.

I've had 3 sexual partners and my first time wasn't overly awkward but it was nerve wracking. I felt the exact same way with each first time with a partner. Just like it was the first time ever over again. If you guys talk about things prior and just take it slow it won't be awkward. Our bodies were designed to 'do it'. It'll always be nerve wracking though. You'll be fine.

Communication is the most important thing here. I don't think it will be awkward, as long as you communicate. Is your FH a virgin as well? My first time took 3 tries (on three different days) because I needed to relax. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Just listen to your body, and your partner and it'll be fine. I don't think you should get it over with now after you've waited so long. I think you'll regret it. Best of luck!
