I tried on one strapless dress even though I told the stylist I didn't not want strapless and my mom absolutely loved it. But she knew I didnt. It was nice it just wasn't THE dress. She knew the one I wanted and gave in when she seen how much I liked it!

My mom hated my dress... Said it showed too much cleavage. The one she pulled for me was so form fitting it left NOTHING to the imagination, but it had a high neckline 🙄 that's why I purchased the dress I loved before the appointment I made with her. Even though that appointment was fake, I was so discouraged after shopping with her.

My mom agreed with my choice! We don’t always have the same style but she understands mine and what looks good on my body!

I always thought I wanted a ball gown, until I put one on and couldn't see in front of me. Smiley laugh My mom wanted me to get one but she does love the A line I chose.

My mom really wanted me to be in a "Disney princess" (her words) dress.
But she never put me down for choosing the dress I loved! ❤
Definitely not a princess dress but it has a little poof!

I think my mom might have picked a ballgown like I did, but she wanted me to wear something way more understated, sweet, and modest! Smiley laugh

I searched "turtleneck wedding dresses" on pinterest to see just how modest of a dress I could find, and this looks about right:

My mom didn’t impose her opinion of what style I should get at all! She let me look at the dresses I wanted to and just told me what she liked about each one, and if she disliked one she never said it, just “I like dress ____ better than that one”
it was nice, but sometimes she was too hands-off when I really wanted a hard opinion lol

If my mom had come with me she would have picked the $99 dress. I almost bought it but fell in love with the next dress I tried on which was $499. She would have fought with me and caused huge drama for me to save my money. And that's why she didn't go with me.

    This was the $99 dress

I’d say that we are somewhere in the middle lol or towards it anyway bc she isn’t afraid to disagree. My mom didn’t get to go w/ me to look at dresses, but I know had she been there my dress would’ve been her choice as well. She loved it when she saw it & I can’t wait for her to see me w/ it on.

My mom actually picked mine and on the rack I thought it was hideous! I didn't know what I wanted but I didn't think I wanted a giant ball gown with a bunch of sequence. now I absolutely ador my dress! every time I have dress regret I compare another dress to mine and I know I made the right decision.

    Lol do we share mothers????

this was very similar to the "dress" my mother tried to get me for 8th grade graduation (and I cant believe I still remember this)

*dang-it! I can't find an image online but it was black with white designs. it had this same type of top and like ankle length skirt. it reminded me of a Kimono and we are German lol I made a deal with her that if she bought the dress I wanted, I would wear this one to church. worse Sunday ever. lol

My mom, sister, and sister-in-law all loved the very first dress I tried on. I was set on trying others because I didn’t want to miss out on finding something that I may like better. Went back to the original one and realized it was by far the best. They do know us better than we know ourselves lol! Can’t wait to wear it.
