The day of wedding: party and prepping coordination

Kyaira, on February 5, 2020 at 8:36 AM Posted in Planning 0 3
Anyone have some tips on how to coordinate the day if the wedding when bridesmaids and groom get ready? Our venue has a changing room for both groom and bride and their party. Does the bridal party arrive earlier than the groom? Should the bridal party book a hotel near the venue to meet up together a day before the wedding a get a limo ride to the venue?

Anything helps! Let me know what you did or what would be best to make everything as seamless as possible!

Usually the bridal party has to be there earlier to start hair and makeup. I’ve typically been in weddings where we all just met at the bridal suite.

If you can get into your venue's bridal suite really early (like, 6+ hours before your ceremony), then you could all just get ready there. Some venues allow that, but most of the ones I toured only give you 1-2 hours in the bridal suite. We are going to book an air bnb where we will have hair and makeup done, then travel together (probably in a limo or hired SUV because we cannot park any cars at my venue) to get dressed in the bridal suite and the groomsmen will arrive after us to go to their suite. Another option is to get your hair and makeup done in an actual salon and then travel to the venue.
