Seconding @greenebunny. i've been to a bunch of NYC weddings and everyone always bring a card with a check. no one wants to lug boxed gifts on the subway LOL.

Make a small registry. Most people will give you money anyway; I'm in NY/NJ and I rarely see more than a couple of boxed gifts at weddings.

    Hope that helps!

While I was searching I applied to two registry MyRegistry and Zola. I will let you know which I find better! Thank you so much! I cannot wait to spend the money I been saving since college with my fiance on this wedding. Thank you for helping me not make a big mistake. I was just looking at Zola and MyRegistry on my account and they stated that you can do money funds. I just wanted to know what people thought about that. Thank you!

@greenbunny and @ella the nice thing I noticed when signing up with myregistry I am able to put on the account my address so they gift will just be shipped to my house so no one will have to worry about the gifts being logged around NYC who would want to do that!

Wow that's amazing, yeah I get the last two weddings I went to there were gift in boxes. I think it depends on the set up of the bride and groom chooses or if someone buys them something else that is not off their registry. Thank you! I really need some help on this my girlfriends are currently busy with her new baby I just did not want to bother her. You guys are the best.

This seems so MUD-y to me.

She has 100k to spend on a wedding but wants donations for a honeymoon or a house? Don't think so.

OP, if you are real and you have that budget, hire a planner to help you find an amazing venue in NYC.

Hello, I want to get married in prospect park Brooklyn, we are very close to close the deal because they include everything and is in our budget, web have 25 thousand for 75/80 people, we love the outside ceremony and inside dining and dancing but there is a couple of things that we don’t like, one of them is the 8 hour rental which already takes two hour to get it ready and another hour to clean so it’s basically five hours I want an hour to eat and I guess an hour for the ceremony so that’s just three hours to hang out and dance? Is this enough? Also DO ANY OF YOU LADIES HAVE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS IN WHICH OTHER PLACE IN BROOKLYN/QUEENS/MANHATTAN? Can look like a prospect park wedding ish ? Thank tou
