@lauren, aw thanks! I actually am having close to my dream wedding, thanks to my style being a little off the beaten path. As my mom says "they're havin a hipstuh weddin!!" in her glorious queens accent. Though I have always thought it would be amaaaaazing to get married at the New York public library! Not for me, but someone with a bigger budget and great style Smiley winking My cousin got married at the palace, and I gotta admit, it didn't really wow me for the price.

I have an idea I am going to look threw your suggestions but look for a hotel and venue all in one. It allows people to have fun and do not have to worry about driving! Please let me know if you find any other places.

Gosh with that budget an all in one hotel seems pretty average...there are places here in CA that are private properties that you essentially rent out for the whole weekend and they are super unique and gorgeous, maybe something like? The Public Library or a museum sound amazing. Good luck, I'm sure it will amazing regardless of where you end up!

Cipriani with that budget. Or one of the private museums.

You could also set up room blocks at a nearby hotel (or hotels) if you choose a non-hotel wedding venue. That way, guests have travel options (cabs, public transportation, parking at the hotel and then walk to venue).

We are going to see if we can work something out with a garage around the corner from our venue. A lot of guests are taking MTA/PATH, cabs, and we may also set up UberEvents for discounted rides.

There are so many places.....632 Hudson, the NYC Public Library, New Leaf Cafe (by the cloisters), All the pier spaces (the lighthouse is one of them), Skylark (another Abigal Kirsch property), Ink Hotel, the Gramercy Hotel, The Boathlouse in Central Park, Tavern on the Green, Brooklyn or Bronx Botanical Garden, Bronx Zoo, Cipriani's (there are two of them), Nomad Hotel, love the Brooklyn Winery, The Picnic House in Brooklyn.

My best friend got married at the Bronx zoo in October. It was a really fun and unique venue and her guests really got a kick out of It. The cocktail hour was right in front of the sea lions and some of he exhibits Were open to guests. The reception was in one of the beautiful old buildings in the original section of the zoo

I second Brooklyn Winery, that space is dreamy. My close friend got married at Tribeca Rooftop and the food and service were impeccable.

Also keep in mind your guest list. $100k is a big budget, but if you're inviting a LOT of people that money won't go as far, especially at a more expensive venue.

I posted early and I got ripped a part and I know you guys are super sweet! I am looking for registry that really well with syc a store the registry I want to do. I also was thinking about opening a money fund that allows people to put donations into our honeymoon or into buying a house we want to be able to save enough money to be able to move back into a great place for raising kids. I was looking at Zola and MyRegistry and people talk to highly of using their fund and registry. I know some people found it rude what I said on my last new discussion. You guys were so nice to help me yesterday so I am looking at you guys for advice. I never mean to hurt anyone's feeling. I just asking questions to learn. Please help me!

No. I'm sorry; if you can plan a wedding on this scale, asking for 'donations' for your honeymoon, (which is, by the way, not a charity thus no donations) is crazy. Asking for money is always tacky and rude, and against a backdrop of such a luxurious party it's even weirder.

Here's an idea; spend 75, 000 on the wedding celebration and pay for your own honeymoon and house?

I get that I just want to through around some idea to better understand the funds. I do not really understand them. This why I am asking you guys. I really do not need to buy anything and I know people who don't even do wedding funds or gift and just do a table for cards. I never want to be rude because this is why I am asking all of you guys because I feel it might come off wrong. I know I am spending money on this wedding, I just want to enjoy it and my fiance wanted to pour all this money into the wedding. I usually hate spending money but he just want to make this a special day. I know no limit or big budget can change that special day.

I am just learning now that they do take a percentage out with myregistry only $3.99 but thats not bad but I do understand your considers thank you for letting me know. I learn something knew thank you!

Lauren, just skip a registry if you don't want physical gifts. People will give you whatever they want to give you.
