Thank you notes for gifts before wedding

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone can help me out with what the etiquette is on receiving early wedding gifts. My wedding is less then a month away and I have started to receive gifts. I wrote thank you notes for gifts I received months ago and for gifts from guests who cannot attend. I am now wondering about gifts that are received within the month before the wedding. I would really like to include how it was so great seeing them etc. in the Thank you note and sent them after and I would prefer to only send a thank you note once.

What is the right etiquette? Is it terrible if I wait until after the wedding for gifts received a few weeks before the wedding?

    The etiquette is that all thank you notes should be written asap after the gift is received, preferably the same day.For wedding gifts received before the wedding,it lets the sender know their gift was safely received. It also lessens the workload for you after the wedding.Yes,it's nice to include a line about how happy you were to see them at the wedding, but really, isn't that a given? Substitute a line about looking forward to seeing them at the wedding.There is no need to send another thank you note. Thank you notes are for gifts, not attendance.

    Don't over stress about it, but if you have the time now, go ahead and write and mail them!

    Thank you! I know I am over thinking it. I think wedding planning has made me think way to much about every little detail. I will try to write them when I find the time.

    I agree with all of this. Don't forget to personally thank them for the gift when you see them at the wedding, also!

    Agree with this completely. I plan on getting a thank you card with a picture from our wedding but was able to find some nice thank you cards at target (by minted) to use in the mean time.

    I'm going to send all thank you notes at once! I'm going to write and address them as we get them, but drop them all in the mail after the wedding.
