Thank you gift ideas

Mackenzie, on July 14, 2020 at 3:31 PM Posted in Planning 0 8
Im getting married this October (hopefully everything moves forward with Covid) but I’m starting to think about thank you gifts for my bridal party. As my thank you gift I am paying for the hair services of all the girls however my maid of honor and one of my bridesmaids are going above and beyond and I want them to know how much I appreciate all the work they are putting into planning things. In addition to their hair services I want to get them both something else that’s special. I was thinking like a Kate Spade wallet or something along those lines but I’m not sure they would use them / if they already have one. Any suggestions would help ! ☺️

1.) Shop for your bridal party like you would for their birthday or Christmas. Is Kate Spade a brand that they would typically buy for themselves? If so, that's a great option. It not, you could do a gift card to their favorite store, a nail salon, coffee shop, etc.

2.) Hair services for your own wedding aren't a "thank you" to your bridal party. It's for your photos. A thank you gift should be completely independent from your wedding.

I would get them stuff that would be handy and stuff that's cute, etc.

i got mine a mix of all kinds of things aha some things i know they'd use like a compact mirror, some lotion and face sheet masks.

i know a lot of people say don't get them stuff that says bridesmaid on it aha but i think if you get one thing that says it, it's ok - it's a cute little memento of their role.

Yes Kate Spade! That’s what I did! I checked each day of n the Kate Spade Surprise page (it’s their outlet) and I ended up getting purses for everyone for $69 each! It was an amazing deal!

Similar idea here!! I did Michael Kors clutches (thank you Black Friday sale) with Starbucks gift cards. For my Man of Honor I did gift card to his favorite store. I also will pay for hair, which is a gesture of thanks. It is really thoughtful of you and I’m sure your bridal party will feel touched with your gift of thanks whatever you decide 😊

I personally love Yetis and Tervis Tumblers, I always have a use for them but I never buy them for myself. I also definitely would have use for a makeup or toiletry bag. Also like luggage tags, scarves, and candles--more things I wouldn't normally buy for myself but totally want.

I would personalize their gifts to their likes and interests! Also, it's usually recommended they are all gifted something that is non-wedding related. so as PP said I'm not sure I would consider that their gift. Typically wedding hair and/or make up gets paid or by the bride if its mandatory.

Their hair and makeup is definitely not mandatory but I know they all want it done and being in a wedding adds up so I am gifting is as one less thing they have to worry about paying for.

They are also all getting personalized pajamas to wear the morning of and as part of their bridesmaid proposal I got them personalized coffee mugs.
I just want to do something unique and valuable for the MOH and the one bridesmaid who is covering a lot of the cost of the shower and bachelorette.

Thank you! Yes maybe I’ll just do a designer wallet or clutch of some sort ! & I agree, being a bridesmaids definitely adds up quickly so I think paying for one of their services in a nice gesture especially since you know they all want to feel catered too that morning and I would hate for one of my girls to not get that experience because they are worried about cost ! 😊
