Thank you cards apology

Ashley, on June 5, 2020 at 3:15 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 8
Hi, I was wondering how to apologize for thank you cards that are six months late? We had a small wedding shower in January and a week after that I got really sick. Shortly after, everything with coronavirus started. I have severe contamination OCD (I hide it from most people) and I spent most of the day cleaning in fear of coronavirus. I finally started seeing a therapist and am ready to tackle things but I feel so horrible.

Just send them out asap. An apology is not necessary.

I sure your guests will understand. It’s a very peculiar time for everyone.

I think that's fine not to send an apology and i don't consider it late anyway!

I agree that an apology isn't really necessary, just a sincere thank you. And this is definitely one of those cases where YOU will feel so much better after these are done and sent. So, do whatever you need to do to get them out the door and don't worry too much over the perfect wording or anything. You got this.

It's a sad fact that a lot of people don't send thank you cards anymore at all, so I'm just happy when I get one. I wouldn't question the time gap at all. I would just send them as soon as you feel up to it and not let it stress you out!

Honestly as a guest I wouldn’t care much if I got it 6 months late... especially during this difficult time, everyone is having a tough time and I’m sure most people will understand. They will just be happy to be getting it at all. Better late than never! Don’t apologize. Just say thank you and send them asap. Hope you’re doing better!!

I believe the etiquette is that you have a year. Don't apologize, just send!

In addition, with everything going on, I'm sure people understand.

Glad you are getting help, and I hope you are feeling better!
