Tell me why you can't wait til the wedding planning is over.

Mayra <3, on March 11, 2015 at 6:19 PM Posted in Planning 0 21

My wedding is next month and I feel like my life revolves around my wedding! Wedding planning is on my mind 24/7!! Not to mention that I go to the gym almost every day because I want to look my best at my wedding and our honeymoon in Cancun.

But I'm so ready for it all to be over so that I can finally take a deep breath and relax, don't have to worry about working out every evening, I plan to take off 1 month after the wedding, no gym, no diet, no worries!! Also, so that my 8 hrs at work don't involve wedding planning and I can actually focus on work lol.

I think I'm the minority here, but I love wedding planning! For some reason it doesn't stress me out at all. I love it so much that I wish our engagement was longer than 6 months lol

I love wedding planning! But I'm also in a hurry to get this over with to get married to the man I love. The little details are often just so tiring, but for the most part I love it. @C&S. I think 8mo-12mo is the optimum engagement. We'll have been engaged 18 months. We didn't want to get married the June after our engagement, but needed a summer wedding (students)... 18 months is a long time to be hoping, waiting, anticipating the man of your dreams! I want it over so that I can be a wife and work on the rest of our life together lol!

I'm totally there. My entire day is consumed by wedding thoughts, which is bad because I have so much to do at work. Terrible

I'm tired of making decisions. I'm indecisive to begin with so now I have to make up my mind and stick with things.

I'm tired of emails and phone calls every week from vendors and family asking about things.

And I'm sick of working 50-60 hours a week to pay for this and the honeymoon. If I could do it all over again I honestly would have had a very small simple wedding.

    39 days lefffttttttttt

I'm dreaming of weddings 24/7, can't wait to get back to normality. That's why I like ww, I'm not driving my family and friends crazy with wedding talk.

@Megan I agree with you, if I could do it all over 50 people and that's it.

KM, you're almost at the finish line!

Megan, I agree! Although no one in my fam really asks me anything, only when we see each other I guess. I think that's another thing that made this not so fun at times. I have 3 bridesmaids and my MOH and only my MOH has helped me here and there and actually shown interests.

    Megan, I'm right behind you!!

Oh crap it's 38 days haha!

Yeah it's mostly family asking about this and that and trying not to stress me out but it does!

I hear ya! Like Megan above- i am at 38 days and so over it! I want it here already,

We have so far: FH gone for 7 months of planning in a different state, an uncle who was badly injured and in the hospital for 3 months ( i took primary care), FH being laid off, FHs grandma passing, Fh's dad in the hospital (this morning) etc etc.

I cant wait to enjoy the day with our friends ad family and for the stress to be over and see all of our hard work, and tears and enjoy it

FMGee, That sucks, sorry you guys have had to deal with all that.

BridalFever, yes! That's another reason for me too. Even tho we had most of the money saved, with last minute things popping up and me kinda over spending hehe, we gotta watch our money very closely from here on out.

    1. I want my savigs and spending money back. Ive been tossing well over $1000/mo cash at the wedding, which really sucks and is stressful at times.

    2. I want to go back to excelling at my job and not making tiny mistakes bc I am also finding myself fielding wedding emails or having wedding thoughts

    3. I want to go back to not feeling like I am too fat for my dress and will look horrible

    4. I want the drama to end. I'm over it.

It just started not ready for it to be over yet. I am ready to make some substantial moves. I'm tired of "we are just enjoying being engaged right now".... its been almost 4 months, I'm ready to done with the big stuff so I can feel like this is actually happening. We have plans but i feel like at any moment everything could change.

    100% agree with you JK

Faran, I know what you mean. But enjoy the time you still have to plan before it REALLY starts lol. We got engaged Nov 2013, so we are engaged 17 months. Trust me when I say time flies and before you know it, you're a month away...like me Smiley smile

I think I love the overall process, but there are times I just want to be married already! I love him so much, so the stress and laughs are worth it. However, I know what you mean about looking your best - I am pretty structured with my eating, but now since I have a specific goal, it's like my cravings have increased, lol.

I love the wedding planning part, I just don't love being broke...LOL! Once it's all over, I can take a deep breath and relax, knowing that I'll have a little breathing room with our budget for food and bills instead of having to squeeeeze wedding stuff in there too...LOL! Plus, I'm really excited that I will be married to the love of my life! =)
