Tell me about your wedding!!

Welcome! I'm one of the recently married ones that's hanging on to see certain people's wedding pictures.

Our wedding was very simple - it was on a beach with a barbecue reception that followed. Homemade beer, kegs, brisket, potato salad, etc. and a live band. I was a low-budget bride (we spent around $6,000 total on everything wedding related) because I'm older (36) with a tiny family (my parents passed before I was 34).

Our wedding is on NYE (our anniv.) aND Doug an outdoor afternoon garden tea theme with a bluegrass band playing. It will be light, fun, and laidback.

Welcome! We're having a destination wedding in Grand Cayman in November with just a handful of guests. We were originally planning on having a local wedding, but changed our minds a few months ago. I have a six year old son from a previous relationship.

@Tega - I know your question wasn't geared to me, but I included my son in our engagement photos, as he's part of this package. We did a mixture of some with him and some with just the two of us. For my save the dates I only used photos of just the two of us.

Tega we included him in a few of our shots....I have 3 pictures with him included and the rest Andre just me and FH. He is the center of our world so we couldn't NOT include him = )

I originally wanted to elope in Vegas, but FH really wanted a wedding. (Odd, I know!)

We are 252 days away! I have been planning since January. Time is really flying! We are getting married where we both live in Fort Worth, TX. Our wedding is very casual & laid back. I cant wait for both of our families to come together and celebrate! As long as I have food, flowers, and my FH, I will be happy girl! (Oh, and an open bar too! lol)

We are older [45 and 50] and this is the second marriage for each of us. I had the big blow out the first time and he had a civil ceremony [ok, shotgun wedding..haha] so we are having a small, family and a few friends ceremony on a dining cruise in Clearwater. We live in NY, but most everyone else we know lives in Florida. We will be married by the Captain and have the reception on a private deck.

Alyshadanielle, my FH is the same way! He wants a full wedding and I was cool with an intimate DW or elopingoing with a couple witnesses.

Woohoo! I'm getting married NEXT SATURDAY and am enjoying this weekend of relaxing. Two of us went on a hike and now I'm drinking margaritas at my house and posting all kinds of stuff.

Our wedding is a rocking venue that takes care of everything for us, and the church is where my fiance's dad is a pastor. He's officiating and all of our friends and family are joining us for a laid back, classy, and fun atmosphere. Navy and ivory are the colors, and I've cut out all the photo booth, candy table, creative extra things so we can just enjoy food and dancing.

I'M SO PUMPED! I wish you well in your 54 next days - I have not had any wedding nightmares or have hardly worried, all thanks to being organized and focusing on balancing what would be best for ourselves and everyone attending.

Welcome! We are having a destination wedding in Riviera Maya...we leave in 10 days! And 15 other guests are traveling with us, so it will be small and intimate. We can't wait. I swore I wouldn't go crazy with the planning - but I kind of did anyway. Most of the crazy is centered around guest comfort and enjoyment, because I like adding the little touches that people will like. My current craze is finishing painting our guest bags. I'm using a stencil to make things easier, but it is no less time-consuming.

At the end of the day, we want everyone to share in our joy and have an amazing time with us.

My name's Leanna (Annael backwards). My FH and I are getting married in May. We were going to have the wedding in March in my mom's memory, but decided to push it ahead because March is still really cold/snowy here.

We're probably having a small wedding (40-50 guests). We'll be getting married at a church and will have the reception at a restaurant. I'm on a small budget ($5000), so it's been interesting trying to find things we can afford!

The restaurant owner is a friend of my FH's family, so he's adding a bunch of stuff that would normally cost an arm and a leg. We really wanted to do the wedding at a yacht/sailing club, but the prices are ridiculous! $2000 for a tent... no thanks.

I'm also from LA and we are doing a Vegas wedding. I'm from SoCal, but FH is from South Dakota, so Vegas was a compromise to give a little pain to everyone attending - about 75.

As for planning, with all of the major stuff done, I'm just working on the details. Sometimes it feels like I have too much time. The wedding is 1/10/15. Somehow my date got hidden and I can't figure out how to change it. It's not like I'm trying to hide anything. LOL.

Welcome! Happy planning! My wedding isn't extravagant and I am hopefully staying within my budget. Its a classic Catholic wedding, the colors are light pink, blush, cream, white and gold. Its a very romantic feel.

We also have a 2 year old ... we are getting married on our 5 year dating anniversary on September 6, 2015. So lots of time left to plan.

We are doing a punk / ska music type show meets reception. Very mix and mingle and come hang out. I am even thinking about a short dress for the whole thing. Lead singer of our best friends band will be our officiant and bandmates as wedding party...it is going to be a blast ^_^

Our wedding is a destination for everyone but us....we did not want to plan a wedding from out of state with a toddler.
