Teeth whitening for the wedding?

CTMBTB, on February 28, 2014 at 11:17 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 18

Hey!

I'm curious if anyone is whitening their teeth for the wedding or in general I guess? I've been wanting to try some teeth whitening products but figured I ask if anyone has had results. Smiley laugh

So! What have you tried? Store bought or home treatments?

    Crest whitestrips.

I also use a mouthwash that contains hydrogen peroxide.

Look up on pinterest a home treatment! I found them to be just as efficient and it didn't hurt my teeth as much as the crest whitestrip (they made my teeth super sensitive while I used them)

The best thing that will give you a guaranteed result is a whitening kit from a dental office, I work at 1 I know what is used. The bleach is completely diffrent from the ones at your local drug store. If you cant afford that one, I would go for the crest whitestrips along with the 3D white toothpaste, really great product. Cheaper option the Arm and Hammer toothpaste with baking soda helps whiten teeth and good to prevent gum disease.

Oh and if you use the crest white strips you need to also buy the sensodyne toothpaste because any whitening products and those strips cause sensitivity.

I am getting the whitening gel from my dentist office. I got braces so my teeth would be perfect for my wedding and am not getting them off until the end of April, that gives me 2 months to whiten! I have heard that homemade paste works really well if you're super diligent and do 1 or 2 treatments a day, I definitely don't have time for that though!

The Plus White kit works amazingly well, I've been using it for years and get comments all the time about my teeth. It's only 10 dollars for the kit and I think they have a coupon online right now. Checkout all the reviews on youtube.

I have used crest white strips, but they were really painful. I never made it through a full kit. I prefer the aquafresh white trays. They are trays so you definitely can't talk or wear them in public like the crest white strips, but they don't cause the pain and sensitivity to my teeth that the crest ones did. I find I get great results with them also

I got the 10% PF Opalescence whitening system with plastic mouth tray. I haven't gotten it in yet but it seems to be a really good kit for people with sensitive teeth. Also, it is one that my dentist recommended.

I'm using the Crest white strips. It says to use it 2x a day for best results but because it also said that it can cause sensitivity.. I only do it 2x one day then skip a day and do it once a day then skip a day and do it again 2x. I've only used it 6 different times and my teeth are so much prettier and whiter already. I'm very pleased with the results.

I got mine professionally done and it wasn't to expensive from my dentist. I also bought the strips my dentist recommended a long with a bleach kit! It worked wonders (: just buy sensitive toothpaste because it dehydrates your teeth and they become a little sensitive!

I am getting mine professionally whitened. I have had braces for two years and will have them removed next month so I am excited to have a perfect white smile for my wedding. I will probably keep it up with one of the at home treatments afterwards.

Crest white strips all the way! Costco was running a sale last week for $10 off, so $29.99 for: 3d whitestrips advanced vivid (14 treatments) AND 3d whitestrips 1 hour express (2 treatments). I bought one for FH and I and we both did the 1 hour express and noticed a huge difference!

I used to work at a drugstore in the beauty section, so I used Crest 3D White everything (mouthwash, toothpaste, toothbrush, floss, etc). I saw IMMEDIATE results, plaque never built up, and I mean ever, and I haven't used it in over a year....and my teeth are STILL white. Save your money and give these super-affordable products a try, because I now won't waste a dime on anything else! (currently using up Christmas stocking stuffer toothpaste lol)

I used advanced crest white strips for the first time my freshmen year in college. I had wanted to whiten my teeth ever since my braces came off, junior year in hs, but was also not sure how to do it...there are so many options! I asked my dentist about the zoom whitening they offer and she plainly said with full confidence just use crest white strips. She ensured me I'd get the same results with no sensitivity (based on my teeth...I have strong and healthy teeth and gums)

I took her advice and used the advanced crest white strips which at the time I did 30min once a day I think for 10 or 14 days.....seriously AMAZING. No sensitivity and really took away the yellow, making them nice and white! They've stayed like that for 6 years and I just recently did a touch up with crest strips again (only 5 days). I'd highly recommend using them. Check amazon for a little better of a deal than the real price Smiley smile

I was going to get the Zoom Whitening at the dentist, but I think I am going to try one of the whitening kits that you can get on Groupon before committing to the Zoom.
