Tea Length dress in the desert?

Julie, on September 28, 2021 at 12:27 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6
I had dreamt of a retro, tea length dress and I found one used! And I love it!

But then we cannot seem to decide where or how to get married. I have half a dozen spreadsheet plans and we just are stuck.
Until we went to our favorite BLM camping spot and where like, “Why don’t we do it here?”
The entire drive home it’s all we talked about.
But my dress does not match the theme/scenery/whatever.
What are your thoughts on your dress matching the venue?

I don't think it's necessary to match dress to venue! If you love that dress, you should totally wear it! I mean, most dresses wouldn't REALLY suit a desert anyway, so don't even think of the venue.

Instead, you can find ways to make the environment match your retro theme and dress, by incorporating retro accents into your decor.

If you love it - that’s the only thing that matters ❤️ Our attire was intended for a formal cathedral and due to covid we had a completely different ceremony site outdoors and our attire didn’t clash at all. I say go for it!! 👍

I think tea length will look lovely esp. if the style is an extension of you. Plus, if you carry a bouquet, you can always incorporate desert blooms.

Think of a Palm Springs vibe - 1950s, vintage, retro glam but still in the desert. I agree with sexypoodle’s suggestion to bring some elements into the environment that help bring the retro vibe to life a bit. An old record player or radio, or some neon retro neon with your names?? Idk!! But I think you can totally make it work!
