Tattoo FOR the Wedding

FinallyMrsB, on May 4, 2014 at 9:22 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 19

So a little while after we got engaged, my FH tentatively brought up covering up my tattoos. specifically the word "bard" on my left arm. I was shocked, because he knew I had gotten it after a good friend had passed in his memory. It was an argument for a few weeks before we finally came to the agreement that I should "pretty it up" with, what else, more ink

I got it done yesterday, and I love it! I picked a sunflower because I love what it represents, it's my favorite flower, and it's actually the "theme" for the wedding.

Anyone one else getting inked specifically for the wedding? Is it going to show?

I have one on my upper back that I got when a friend of mine was killed...it was a way for me to deal with his death. FH has said nothing about it but I do think I am gonna get it covered before the wedding.

Yes.. Well kind of. I have always planned on getting an angel tat on my shoulder with my grandparents and high school BFFs initals in it, but i wanted to wait until my papa passed. Sadly last year at this time he did. This past fall I got the ink. I really wanted it because none of my grandparents will be at the wedding. Also with the way the design is done, you cant see the initals unless you know where to look.

I'm not getting one FOR the wedding, but I'll be getting one to sort of commemorate the wedding right after the HM.

I love that you were able to compromise and the sunflower is beautiful. I am thinking of getting a rose on my ankle with a "C" (FH's name is Chris) but am still undecided.

The initials are along the spine of the wing hidden in the shading.

I did! I had a old one on my shoulder that i wasnt feally fond of. I wanted something more feminine so i decided to get it done before the wedding so it would be pretty and fresh since it will be visible. I got my shoulder covered in roses

I had a quote on my back that was done like 6 days after i turned 18, now almost 8 years ago... it has faded a LOT and i knew i wanted it touched up before the wedding since it will probably show. i decided to just do it big and get some stuff added to it and get a part of it covered. the tattoo still has a lot of meaning to me so i wanted to just spiff it up a little Smiley smile heres my before & after pictures as of rite now. i still have one more session to touch up the faith part in the middle and get some more stuff added. i cant wait to have my hair up to show this bad boy off!! the after pic was when he put the bandage on, forgot to take one before, so its kinda bloody and yucky in the pic sry

I have no tattoos but I ordered temporary tattoos with the infinity sign with my new last name for my wrist to wear for the wedding. It's a surprise. I think my FH would freak out if it was real.

I am covering up a tattoo (in the same spot as yours) to "pretty" it up and make is more feminine.
