Tattoo before wedding?

Christy, on April 2, 2017 at 3:58 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 25

Contemplating getting a 3/4 floral sleeve before the big day. I have a medium sized back tattoo and a few other small ones that will be visible. The wedding is in the mountains and very laid back. My future husband also has tattoos that will be visible. Should I get this tattoo before or after my wedding?

Before is my opinion - it should be healed very nicely by the time of your wedding

Would it cut your dress awkwardly? I have a specific idea in mind but I know it would look silly in the placement with my dress so im waiting for now. I Love tattoos on brides!

As long as it could be finished and healed by your wedding, I'd say go for it!

If you think it goes well with your dress, and it's completed and healed do it before! If not then just start it after.

Do it whenever you want! I'm personally waiting until after to get my first tattoo, but it's mostly because I want to avoid drama with my parents. If you want it, and it can be healed/completed in time, then go for it!

Do it before! I love when tattoos show especially when they are elegant and beautiful. I'm biased though as I do tattoos for my occupation. Lol

That's a pretty personal choice. I am very pro-tattoo, however, I would probably wait until after. There are just a lot of variables. What if it doesn't turn out the way you want it, or takes longer than anticipated to heal? I would just wait. I also would personally want to put that $$$ towards the wedding and then save up for the ink!
