FH and I are going to a friend's destination wedding in April. I have some time to decide, but I'm wondering if I should take my engagement ring with me. We plan to spend quite a bit of time in the water and I'm not sure I feel comfortable leaving the ring in the hotel. What would you do or have...

Oh to answer your question - I was in the ocean every single day (taking ring selfies with stingrays, HAHA) and I swam in pools. Had no issues at all. My ring fits snugly, though. If it was loose, I would wear a ring guard/sizer to make sure there was no chance of it coming off.

We're going on a cruise this month and I'm leaving my e-ring at home. Not because I'm afraid to lose it, but because I don't want a stone to fall out or something like that.

I don't get this. I'm with a few others - I never take it off anyway, and if it fits properly, it would never just "fall off."

I haven't worn mine in the ocean yet because I'm nervous I asked for tips on ring care from my jeweler and he said not to wear it "anywhere where you can't reach the bottom" haha. He said that your fingers can shrink in cold water which could lead to the possibility of the ring falling off. That being said it's totally personally preference and it's not like your ring is just gonna pop off the second you touch the ocean!
