Tacky Wedding Programs?

Chantelle, on August 24, 2020 at 9:49 PM Posted in Planning 1 9
I’ve designed my own wedding programs and was wondering if just printing them on my own thicker paper and stapling them together once in the top left corner was way too tacky for a wedding. Idk, I wouldn’t say I’m on a tight budget, but I feel like I just don’t have the heart in me to professional print them somewhere or turn them into brochure type programs for the price they are $$$ and knowing people just flip through once and then all of them are left laying around the venue. Do people really care or notice? Idk maybe I’m just overthinking and just need to have a place print it out my vision professional and be done. This is the template I’m using. It’s perfect.Tacky Wedding Programs? 1

This is definitely something you can do yourself. You can buy a pack of gold or colored staples for cheap that will make that part look nicer too.

Omg I did not even think of this! You are sooo right. I guess a little random gray staple would look kinda dumb on a gorgeous program, but gold/rose gold staples would maintain the look. Thank youuuu

Maybe hole punch them and use a coordinating ribbon

I didn’t professional print mine. I really don’t think people will care about that when it comes to programs or notice

I think it’s great! You could punch a hole in the top corner and tie them together with a ribbon that matches as well. Thank

I printed mine on regular printer paper. I don’t think anyone even took one. This is one place to save money 😊

I had to get some wedding invites inserts professionally printed. I purchased my own cardstock and fully intended on printing them myself. The paper was too thick for my printer and it smudge really bad. I found a local printing place that charged me $5 to print 80 inserts. We also got bridal shower invites printed and cut for $9. Just a heads up.

We decided to skip the printed programs and instead I bought a big mirror and am hand lettering our program information on to that. We wanted to save on paper waste and after we can hang the mirror in our home

Can you just print on both sides instead of stapling 2 sides together? I do think that would look tacky.

I would just skip the programs all together. No one pays any attention to programs.
