Yes please hurry everyone! Let's all laugh at other people and make fun of them... let's also post other embarrassing qualities about our friends. OP there is already a post from this week about wedding mistakes to learn from.

My cousins wedding- outdoors in the dead of summer, luckily there was a tent for shade. Not enough seats at ceremony. Self catered. I got sick from the potato salad. They made their own wedding fondant cake and it tasted like leather. Bring chairs from ceremony to reception. Lawn games. Mosquito bites. Warm homemade sangria. I love my cousin but eek

If I wanted to see people getting made fun of all I'd have to do is read the "should I have a cash bar" threads. Lol. I've seen these threads before, clearly it's all in good fun. Sorry if it offended you.

Leather fondant! I've had that before. Someone who took a fondant class and volunteered to make the wedding cake...ick!

They made everyone pay for their own dinner in cash, and then passed a donation jar.

Ex's brother and SIL had a "secret" wedding at Niagara Falls and hid it because they "knew the family would be really mad." I felt soooo uncomfortable playing along with the "wedding" at home (I attended the wedding in N.F.)

Went to a recent wedding where the bride chewed gum through the whole ceremony.

I was the MOH in a wedding 6 years ago. They didn't send their invitations out until 2 weeks before the wedding...And never sent thank you notes for both showers and the wedding. Way to be classy. Not a wedding I was proud to be in.

I was invited to a wedding via email that specifically said "please eat dinner before hand." And also asked for specific gift cards and gas cards or money OR home made presents ONLY because "California is expensive!" ...I didn't go though

Can't speak for the actual wedding, but my grandmother is still salty 10+ years later because she didn't receive a thank you from my cousin's wedding. Like it's still brought up at least once a year!

Although I wasn't alive, I love this story: My parents had a heavy appetizer buffet for their reception. There wasn't enough food for everyone to have seconds, so my mom made herself a small plate. While she was taking with a guest my dad ate all her food, plus his. She was so mad! So all she had that day was a bite of cake and too much champagne. Her hangover lasted for 3 days. They're still married, but I wouldn't call it a happy start!

I wasn't there, obviously, but fmil&ffil's wedding sounds like it was an ordeal.

Ffil's sister threw a fit because she thought her kids wouldn't eat the catered food. Fmil caved and let her bring something. She brought pasta salad in a green plastic bowl and set it on the buffet table. Her children did not eat it. She was upset no one was taking any and mentioned it in her speech.

Fmil's uncle caught the garter. His ex-stepdaughter caught the bouquet. I hear they were very enthusiastic and it was uncomfortable.

Someone also took a fingertip of frosting from the cake and instead of like, leaving it alone after that, they tried to turn it so ffil/fmil wouldn't see and ended up wiping their whole hand through it.

Fmil still talks about it a ton. She's been married for 27 years.

FH was a GM in a wedding where the reception took place at a sketchy Chinese buffet (you know the kind you see on Kitchen Nightmares), and they took wedding photos in the parking lot of said sketchy Chinese buffet. The bride was walking around with rice and french fries dragging in her train.

We also went to a wedding last summer in the dead of August. It was outdoors with tents, but it was still disgustingly hot. And there were so many mosquitos we had to leave early.
