Table Number Idea

So, I have had my heart set on naming our tables after places that mean something to us. But, I have been tossing around possible guest book ideas - I haven't been sold on anything yet....until now!! I saw an idea of having a notebook on each table that serves as a guest book & the table number....

I saw an idea of having a notebook on each table that serves as a guest book & the table number. Table #7 would sign the guestbook and it would say "Messages for the bride & groom to read on their 7th anniversary"

Has anyone seen this done?? What do you think??

@ Princess - you should do famous Disney couples!

Aurora & Phillip, Prince Charming & Snow White, Bambi & Faline, Peter & Wendy, Tramp & Lady, Pongo and Perdita , etc...

and here is a giant list of Disney couples..

My theme is travel so we're naming our tables for different countries and using postcards. So a table will be Australia, one will be France, etc. I'm originally from another country so it works for us.

All of these ideas are awesome!!!! I would love to do an advice activity in lieu of just a regular guest book, but for our table numbers, we are going to use the years that some of the couples in our family/friends were married....our theme is "Until...." it's a song by Musiq that basically says I'll be loving you until...and there are different years in the future etc etc...we are using it as our Anniversary song where all of the married couples can join us for a dance on the floor...so hopefully it will all tie in nicely together...we have several couples that have been married for a long time so it should be cute

Thats an awesome idea, and I like the photos alot too! Our tables will be our nicknames, my FH has a nickname for all of us,and of course we have one for him too! So, we will have this beautiful, elegant wedding (I hope) and the tables will have names like "chicken" , "cheeseburger", "cricket", "tex cobb", written in our beautiful script of course!!

I don't particularly like just the number. So we decided on using names from areas in Paris. Since that is where we are going on our honeymoon! They will tie in with our recepition theme.

I really like the book idea. Where would you get small books to use? I do not want a lot of pages as only 8 people will be at a table. Thanks. And great ideas.

I found a post on www.littlemisswedding.co.uk about table numbers (100 ideas for them) which I can't find, but this blog is great.

I had a veterinarian who used photos of her dogs as the table numbers; it was a riot; I think a very cool variation on this would be to pick a guest at each table and ask them for a photo of their dog and use that for the 'table number'; then they could all try to guess whose dog it was, lol.....

I think the little book idea is cute, but then you will have a lot of little books to find a home for in your house. And as Brandi said, you don't need books with lots of pages - or you will end up with 8 - 12 almost empty books.

That is kinda why I suggested the scrapbook pages, then you can put them all in One book.

    Maybe get a

    Mead 46030 3" x 5" Vinyl Loose-Leaf Memo Book

Looks like you can take all the pages out and add it to one book in the end.

cover the book in fabric? Make 1 nice one?
