Switching Wedding Websites

Katrina, on May 25, 2020 at 1:44 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 3

So, a few months ago I sent out my Save the Dates and included my wedding website on them. Since then I have run into problems with the site that I cannot seem to get fixed. I have made a website on another site as a trial, and I am starting to like it better, it works, updates save, it actually matches our invitation suite, etc. Is it a horrible idea to switch sites now since save the dates went out all ready? Thinking about it I can put the new website on the invitations(website will be way to RSVP) and I could potentially put an apology with a forwarding link on the old site(if it even works Smiley ups ).

Have you tried contacting support?? What site were you using that's giving you trouble?? If you're having issues and can't get them resolved, then I would say definitely change your site. Some people tend to be curious and will look up your site ahead of time so if they run into any issues, they'll probably just end up contacting you to let you know. You can then choose to provide them with the new link. There's also nothing wrong with contacting your guests ahead of time as well to let them know.

Its WeddingWire's. I've contacted support a few times, I just get a "we know about it and are working on it" reply each time. And looking through the forums, I'm not the only one having problems unfortunately.

Oh. Yea. That's unfortunate. I attempted to start a site with weddingwire when I was planning my first wedding but never ended up using it. It's so standard you can't really do much. I'm using wix.com this time around and I'm absolutely in love. I'm glad whatever website you're using now is much easier for you.
