Sweating in your Wedding Dress!

Mary, on September 9, 2020 at 9:07 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 4

I've had 2 dress fittings so far, both times I was in my dress for a half hour / 45 minutes. The problem: I am sweating inside the dress in that short amount of time! It's mainly my core and legs - my head and arms are cool and fine. The bottom of the dress has many layers, which are needed and won't be taken out. I think they are contributing to the heat.

Has anyone ever used the Jockey Skimmies® Cooling Slipshort to help with this issue? https://www.jockey.com/catalog/product/jockey-womens-cooling-skimmies

Any other solutions?

I don't know the brand, but yes, I wore slipshorts under my ballgown for my Texas minimony. They weren't specifically labeled for cooling, but it kept me from sweating.

I should have looked in to that! I got married last weekend in 106 degree weather in a ball gown and sweat like crazy!

Jesus do I relate! My own gown had soo many layers that just being in them for less than 10mins made me slicker than an oiled salmon on a skillet xD

I contemplated wearing biker shorts or spanx in case my thighs decided they wanted to go for round two but it was a decently cool winter when the ceremony was held as opposed to the blazing hot texas summer (even with A/C) when I was shopping for dresses.
