Sweating for the wedding... Literally

Noah, on March 23, 2018 at 11:10 PM Posted in Planning 0 12
I have always had a really big problem with sweating. I'm getting married in October in NY but I'm still really worried I'm going to sweat through my dress. Any recommendations or tricks to reduce underarm sweat? I've tried many many different deodorants and antiperspirants

Have you tried certain dri? It works well for me. If you don't like that, go to a dermatologist there are some prescription options out there.

Have you tried arm and hammer deodorant? It works great for me. Took a while to find the right one. I also read that some women get Botox injected in their armpits to stop sweating.

Certain dri worked for me! I highly recommend it! Just don't apply to dry skin.

Someone told me to put paper towels in your armpits and do a quick wash or at least like baby wipe your pits before you put your dress on, but make sure you rinse any soap off because it can turn white fabric yellow. I have also heard that peroxide helps with any odor. I know they all may seem weird lol, but i have tried the paper towels and it may not save you the whole night, but it at least saves you from having it right off the bat.

I’m a dancer and we sometimes stick pantiliners (yup) into the underarms of costume blouses. You can get a stronger tape if needed. This helps absorb the sweat a lot. Try it during the summer on a regular dress and see if it works for you!

If you have the money to do this, which with wedding planning les anyone 🙈, but see a dermatologist and ask about Botox injections in your armpits. It’s a real thing. If it’s something that you constantly struggle with, this actually might be for you. Or panty liners work!

Sweatblock, you can get it on Amazon. You apply once a week, then use whatever you use daily.

My husband had the same issue... he had the lasers zap his under arms and then for extra measure he got Botox injections just before the wedding. He says it helped a lot... but at the end of the day our wedding was last weekend and it was 80 degrees and humid so he was still sweating when we were outside. We had a private moment at the start of our reception and we sat in front of a fan so he could dry out for 10 mins.

I have been doing the Botox injections under my arms for a while now .. I don’t really sweat to bad but when I was younger I was really self conscious about it .. they were work amazing- and the best part ( for me anyway ) is that it’s completely covered by my health insurance !

Not sure what you’re wearing but check out Thompson Tee..it’s a T-shirt so like I mentioned it’ll depend on what’ve you’re wearing. You would use it as an undershirt. They’re amazing!!! You literally will not sweat through at all!
