So, although it is a very long story, ill provide a brief overview.. in May of 2013 I became very ill with strepococccus (sp) pneumonia. I was entirely septic, and spent 6 days on the ventilator and two weeks in ICU 16 days total. Honestly, Im lucky to be alive today--but my luck ran out when I came home.(ironically one year to the date of our wedding).my FH (bff at the time) was still injecting me with one of the strongest antibiotics they make..Vancomycin. Unfortunately the drug that saved my life ended up giving the most serious drug reaction doctors had ever seen. I literally had blisters all over my body, from head to toe. I was treated with three rounds of steroids and finally, they dried and my skin died and fell off (pretty I know), and I was left with a purple hue of scarring resembling blotching. 8 months later they have faded to a tan color..and although they are no where as bad as they are, I would hate to show those on my wedding day. For thst reason I choose a full aline gown (allure 8862) and am wearing my very long hair down to cover my back scars..so all thats exposed and very scarred are my arms (the blisters never reached my face). So..all of that being said, has anyone had good experience with body make up or any makeup that won't rub off on my dress that I could use? And before anyone suggests Microderm abrasion or plastic surgery..the doc already ruled that out, apparently neither would help! Any help would be appreciated.

Clinique sells a serum called Clinical even better. It clears dark spots and any flaw. I had some scarring on my arms and used it with coco butter, and they lightened up a lot. Hopefully it helps with yours and then finish up with airbrush.

I'm sure your photographer can photoshop whatever you want to hide/change in your photographs, and the people who see you on your wedding day won't be noticing the scars.

We'llAlwaysHaveParis took the words right out of my mouth!

I know in the end it comes down to what YOU want, but you are a survivor, don't be afraid to show off your battle scars!

    Good luck!

No idea on makeup but Drs had me on Vanco when I had MRSA that rapidly spread through my arms and chest. I had an allergic reaction that caused a TON of my hair to fall out. I can only imagine the pain from the blisters! All my love to you, girl, you rock!

I feel you. I had leg surgery and have the scars, a bright pink! I used dermablend ONE OF THE BESTTT makeup cover i have seen out there. They did a video on,covering a guy that was from head to toe with tattoos! And he looked like he never got tattoos! I have tried it so i know its gooddd! You do have to get the perfect shade so it looks natural. Also buy the cream merderma or bio oil it helps fade away severe scars! Good look i know youll look gorgeous on your wedding day!

I also agree with Mederma. I'm not sure about the one person that said not to use it but I've had friends (yes, more than one unfortunately) that have used it to fade their thyroid cancer scars and as long as you're diligent in using it a few times a day, it does fade them dramatically.
