Sunflower Wedding Ideas!

I think a sunflower wedding would be very beautiful and unique. But sunflowers are my favorite flowers so I may be biased. I see a lot of ideas on Pinterest, plus Pinterest is always a good place to start.

Sunflowers and blue hydrangeas are my favorite flowers so that’s what I went with.

Those are absolutely beautiful! Are those real? My friend who got married a couple years ago used fake flowers, but I'm worried they won't look as good sunflower wise.

I'm not a huge sunflower fan, but that's because I don't really like yellow. However, I did try on a dress for my brother's wedding in yellow and I thought it looked really pretty. I think it can look really pretty. I've included some ideas I like with sunflowers. Not sure what color you want to pair with it, but I like the color combos I've included. I've found that I prefer sunflowers with a light color because they are bright and bold.

I wanted to do a dark red, but the red didn't make the flowers pop as much as I wanted. So I did want to try a light green color. Those are all so beautiful! I have run into some problems where certain family members aren't to excited on colors and decisions we have made already. So I have been running around in circles. We have tons of time, but I'm already starting to feel a huge stress with planning everything out.

I feel like yellow/sunflowers are something either you really like or really don't like, but this is your wedding so pick what you like. I will say I think sunflowers pop more with the lighter colors. Also, no one is ever going to be as excited as you are to get married. If they can't be supportive, I wouldn't discuss your plans with them. Only provide them with details they absolutely need to know. As for inspiration, I found Pinterest super helpful, but we already knew our colors. We based our colors on my husband's favorite hockey team and their colors are red and black. It worked perfectly because I always dreamed of red roses at my wedding. I wish you good luck

Sunflowers are just full of sunshine and happiness. Plenty of people make it work for their wedding. It’s your wedding, so do it!

Thank you for the words of encouragement! We both realized we should keep our thoughts to ourselves, and plan the way we want too. Details for sure from now on, and we know we can't stop it. Anything to ease the stress we already have! We wanted to do red and yellow, but I want more of that light color for sure now to make that yellow color pop! Thank you!

We’re doing sunflowers and lavender for our wedding, so i love your sunflower idea! just remember it’s your wedding so do what makes YOU happy, it’s a once in a lifetime event so if you want sunflowers, do sunflowers!
