Sunday weddings yay or nay?

What are pros and cons of having a Sunday wedding? FH and I found a venue we fell in love with but price for Saturday seems way out of our budget. Has anyone had a Sunday wedding? Has anyone attended a wedding on a Sunday, what were your thoughts?

FH and I are doing a Sunday wedding, we are actually doing it over labor day weekend, we know that literally like 90% of our guests have off the next day because of the holiday. Our guests are either retired or definitely have off the next day. Trust me I would not have done a Sunday wedding if I knew that people would be cutting out early! Most of our guest are also no more than like a 20-30 minute drive so travel isn't really a concern for most of our guests. If the circumstances were different and the venue had a Saturday I would have went with that, but doing a wedding on a Sunday is definitely cheaper, and in our case it worked out really well Smiley smile

@Norcal322 and @Rebecca H. -- that is the same thing FH and I have decided on. We figured we are sending out Save the Dates and invitations with plenty of time anticipated, if they want they have time to request for that Monday off. If not them they can come and not stay late. It'll be up to them

Our wedding is on a Sunday, we choose that date because of the deal that the venue was offering. $69 per person, the price includes tip and tax, 3 course meal, open bar for beer and wine and our cake. We are not doing a brunch wedding, nor will it be an early wedding. People can choose to leave early if they have to work the next day or request off. Most of our families are requesting off of work. I say do whats best for you, people will adjust their schedules to be a part of your day if its important to them.

We had a Sunday wedding. Reception ended at 11. Lots of people stayed and partied til the end. It depends on your crowd. Most of our guests were OOT and had taken Monday off, we also only invited close family.
