Sunday wedding

Ariel, on July 28, 2022 at 7:48 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 6
We are getting married on a Sunday in august of next year and its OOT for most people (about 3 hours away). Its the only day available. Most people are saying they’ll take off Monday. I want it to feel like a Saturday still, so I want it to end around 10:30 or later. Is that fine to do? I feel like it’s literally no different than someone taking off a Friday to make it to a Saturday wedding.

We’re having a Sunday wedding and our reception is over at 1 am. We too have out of town guest but from other states. All are taking off Monday.

As long as you make guests aware of the time I don't see a problem with this. If I went to an out of town wedding I would probably take Monday off anyways.

Thanks! I have already started letting some people know. I haven't gotten any complaints just yet. But I know regardless I wont be able to please everyone.

Have it going as late as you want - those who are able to get the day off will stay and have fun and the ones who couldn't get the day off, will leave early! A part of the Sunday wedding problem is you do have to realize that some people simply CAN'T get the day off (esp here in America, where PTO policies are not the greatest) and may not be able to stay long. As long as you're okay with that, I think as late as you want!
