Thinking about a ceremony on a Sunday for less money. Did anyone else consider this?

    Hi Kilaun!

It's definitely not unheard of. My original date was on a Sunday and we were doing a late morning ceremony. Since our venue changed, so did our date.

We did not consider Sunday but, we are doing an early ceremony and reception on Saturday to save a bunch!

We did not consider a Sunday. It seems hard to enjoy the day since people have to work the next day or would have to leave early do to work the next day. Plus i feel like sundays are always some what of a drag because of work haha
    Have you considered a Friday??
We are getting married on a Friday and its alot cheaper. Plus then you have the entire weekend to spend with family and enjoy everything

Yes, i was considering a early service as well. Its a price reduction there too. I am being real frugal lol only to have that put towards my honeymoon

We're having a Sunday wedding for this reason! The majority of our guests took Monday off because its a mini destination wedding.

We're doing a Monday! (Labor Day so people still have the day off). It's an out of state wedding so we figured people would be travelling and would have to take a day off anyway, might as well be at the beginning of the week! We're also saving about $2k by doing that, every bit counts! Happy planning Kilaun!

For some reason when we were planning a wedding and booked our date twice, I was drawn to a Sunday wedding. It wasn't so much the fact it was Sunday but the date sounded good. Both dates just happened to be on a Sunday lol. Needless to say, we didn't end up planning a wedding and eloped instead. Still with a date that was on a Sunday haha.

My friend did it. If I were to do Sunday I think I'd do lunch time because people would probably leave early for a Sunday night wedding for work the next day

Haha totally get that! Just meant if the couple had to work the next day would he a total drag. I know some couples who did take time off after the wedding or a honeymoon so they had to work the next day and it was tough. If its way cheaper i say go for Sunday!
