Mine is on a Sunday! The ceremony is at 2pm and it actually gets dark around 4:30 here in November, so we still will have that nighttime party feel and be able to end by 8 or 9 so people can still go home if they want. But many have decided to take off Monday and hang with us at the hotel! Anyone who comes from out of town would have most likely taken friday off for a saturday wedding, so it’s not a huge deal for them to take monday instead.
Just attended my first Sunday wedding this year. It was very nice. Didn't have a party vibe like a Friday or Saturday, but it was lovely just the same.
Just an FYI - Good Friday is a solemn day of fasting, prayer and abstinence in most Christian religions. You might not be religious and perhaps neither are any of your guests, but something to consider if they are.
My wedding is a Sunday, and Veterans Day is the next day so most people have off. Also my FH was in the marines, so were getting married on the marine Corp birthday (November 10th), with Veterans Day being the next day. We actually didn’t plan it that way, we just knew we wanted a November wedding and that date happened to be open so it was perfect! We have a lot of family that was in the military so it’s very special for us to be able to do that. We hope to have a tribute to Veterans during the reception.
Sunday evening! We have ppl coming from out of town. They can the Monday off.....it's a lot cheaper! Yes but guess what, if they can't come....welp we'll end the next invite.

I’m getting married on a Sunday to save money. We ended up doing it memorial weekend so most of our guests should have the following Monday off. It saved us like $3,000 which is 100% worth it to me. I’m getting married May 24, 2020.
I'm having mine on a Sunday and it's also a destination wedding. The ceremony venue does not allow friday or Saturday events so I booked a Sunday. 1pm ceremony
We chose a Sunday ceremony for that fact that it costs less. I will probably be taking those days off work - Saturday, Sunday and Monday as we are not taking our honeymoon right away.
We are doing a Sunday wedding as it’s a destination wedding memorial weekend. Gives people time to travel, attend different wedding related events, etc
Fridays can be difficult for people to get off work. Sundays can be difficult because people have work Monday, however- if someone wants to be at your wedding, they will come any day of the week.
We are doing a Sunday. Originwlly we wanted a Saturday. Kind of in the middle for our travelers. But the spot we truly wanted had Sundays. So I asked around if Sunday was good for weddings. I was told yes they are fine plus of course cheaper. So in the end we changed our date but was able to be within the same month. And we are now on a Sunday.
We are having out ceremony on a Sunday. It was $1000 cheaper for our venue to have Sunday vs Saturday and the savings were worth it to us because we could out that money to something else!
We did consider would people be able to enjoy the day since work/school the next day, but in our case I don't think it will be an issue. We are having ~75 guests so it will only be family and close friends and I know they won't let it being in a Sunday stop them from having a good time!
Mines is on the Sunday before Memorial Day. Luckily I did not get charged more for it being a holiday weekend. Although my guests will be off the next day for the holiday, I didn’t care about my guest having off the next day or not if we chose a different date. Remember it’s YOUR day, no one else’s. So what you want, it what matters the most.
We have a Sunday so that everyone from out of town can come down on Friday, we can all attempt to do something on Saturday, and then ceremony on Sunday afternoon!
