We’re doing a Sunday for religious reasons. FH is Jewish so from Friday night to Saturday night, we couldn’t get married at his synagogue which is our venue so we went for Sunday. We’re doing 11/14/21 in the hopes that some work places will give the 15th off to observe veteran’s day (federal holiday is the 11 which is a Wednesday I believe that year).
Yup. I'm getting married on a Sunday and it's an evening affair. I've been to a Thursday and Sunday wedding and they were well attended (150+). I think as long as you provide well in advance notice, people will make the necessary arrangements.
As a guest I would love to go to a Sunday brunch wedding! If an evening wedding, I’d prefer one that ends in the early evening or my hubby & I would leave by 8/8:30 to get ready for the work week.
Im So excited for a Sunday wedding! Most of our guest have to travel anywhere from 6-14 hours so it’s sorta a destination wedding! We figured it would be easier on our bridal party to take Monday off than probably Friday and Monday! For the rest of the family (those that want to come) they can actually make a weekend of it and we can do a dinner together Friday night as some of the early birds arrive to actually spend time with us!

Ours will be the same. Our venue was $2000 cheaper with 50% off the beer/wine package. Everyone on FH side will be driving from out of state. Our wedding is at 4pm on Sunday.
We are doing a Saturday afternoon ceremony & reception (11 am - 4 pm) & it saved us $5k.
I wouldn’t be opposed to going to a Sunday wedding - I’m actually going to one next Sunday evening & took the Monday off. However, depending on ur area I would be careful of football season. Football games are Sunday & a lot of people enjoy them.
We considered it. Ultimately decided against it since we found avenue for a good price. Plus my biggest thing was I wanted to have renounced time to get ready and my party and team and trying to do a wedding after Church services and everyone gets out at different times it was too hectic. Find what works best for you.
I’m doing a Sunday, but it didn’t save me any money because it’s the Sunday before a Monday holiday. It was just the date that was available! But I’ve been to a few Sunday weddings - one a destination wedding - and it was fine.

We almost did a Sunday wedding for what we thought was the “perfect venue”. We found a little gem that was close to home. While contemplating on a Sunday wedding, we were considering doing it the day before a holiday to help people.
I considered it, but ultimately I want my reception to have a fun party atmosphere, and I just feel like people would be worried about getting back to work the next day.

I’m doing a Sunday wedding less than 20 days. We saved a lot about $3K. Good luck in your search.
