Sunburn help!!!

wowjunkie, on June 6, 2009 at 7:25 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

FH and I went on a motorcycle ride today, which was great, but now I'm a little burnt! Not a big deal, normally, but my ENGAGEMENT PICTURES ARE TOMORROW!!!!! The lines on my arms and my neckline should fade away by then (they aren't that bad), but my nose and forehead are pretty toasty (ironically I had sunscreen on my face, but not anywhere else). HELP?!?!?!?!

I swear by a good cover up. use something with yellow undertones, not pink, and you can really cover up alot...

I see that I am too late but for others and future reference. Always keep Oatmeal bath on hand. You open the package and slowly mix in water to make a paste, then you softly spread on burn (sunburn, heat burn), let it set on the burn with a damp cloth over it. Leave it for as long as you can stand then rinse in a luke warm shower to help draw out the heat. It takes out tons of the heat, reduces red and can even prevent blistering! It is amazing! I have had brides use this treatment on sugar wax burns and the results are amazing! I hope your pictures turn out wonderful!

Thanks guys, I'm still burnt, but the pictures turned out great! It lightenned up enough to where they'll be able to correct it easily, and in some of the unedited proofs you can't even tell.

I know I'm late...but vinegar works! I had the same problem...the day before engagement pics and I looked ridiculous! Just soak yourself in vinegar and it takes the red and the sting out almost instantly! It's stinking...but if your in a hurry...you should try it! I put it on before I went to bed and woke up brand new!

Cool shower takes heat down, white vinegar takes sting out, aloe vera gel makes it turn brown.

You can also put a self tanner on and it will deepen the color and make you look really nice and tan.
