Sugar Free Wedding Cakes??

Kris, on February 29, 2012 at 5:47 PM Posted in Planning 0 7

I'm diabetic and quite a few of my family members are also diabetic, so I am hoping to find a decent bakery where I can have some nice choices for a sugar free wedding cake.

Anyone have any recommendations in the general Los Angeles area? It doesn't have to be a cheap place, I am more than willing to dish out the extra hundred or two for an awesome cake - I just want a Good sugar free cake that doesnt taste so sugar free Smiley smile

I don't know any in LA area, but where were you planning on getting your cake? Check with them if they do sugar free. Now a days with sugar free items out there, fat free, and gluten free the bakery might be able to help. Just make sure you taste it before you book it.

    Good luck

I have heard this place is good...although I have never tried it. Thank goodness LA has everything a special diet could ever need!

We are doing a sugar free cheesecake for people at our wedding that have issues with sugar.

Honestly I have no idea where to start looking, hence the thread. I've never lived directly in Los Angeles and since our venue will most likely be in L.A. I thought I would try to find a local place to make my cake, plus L.A. is rather large, I'm sure there's a place that can create what I need.

I'll definitely check out that shop. Thank you for the link!

I could do a cheesecake, but I dunno, call me a bit selfish but I really want to taste my own wedding cake Smiley smile

Could you do a small sugar free cake for cutting and then do cupcakes for other guests. or maybe one tier could be sugar free. went to wedding last year where one tier was traditional and one was vegan. totally awesome.

That's a really good idea! Hadn't thought about that. Thank you Smiley smile We will probably have 3 tiers for our guests, one sugar free cake should easily fit the amount of guests that cant have sugar. That's awesome.
