Strippers

I am watching Bridezillas and a stripper was hired for a Bachelorette party. The stripper was all up in the chick's grill and I think this is so disrespectful to FH. I don't understand the need for a stripper...I just don't get it.

He just went to a strip club for a bachelor party in October and it didn't keep me up at all. I trust him. Its entertainment. Now me on the other hand I don't care for strip clubs. Been to a few in the past and they are all so damn greasy. Just gross to me lol and ugh I can't get that lifesavers shit out of my head now!

Everyone has great points and I appreciate the comments. @FutureMrs...I am not judging anyone for their job choice. I completely agree with you on that.

E-Tex, I was secretly hoping this was part two of the Lifesavers thread.

Please just let this thread die... I have numerous friends in sex work and it's really demoralizing to come here and see "Ew, sex workers!" on the front page.

I would be fine with either myself or FH going to a strip club. As long as we're both in agreement to just watch and no lap dances or anything. You can still have fun without being disrespectful to your other half. But will I go to a strip club for my bachelorette party? Probably not

Eh it's really not a big deal. FH knows the boundaries so if they go watch some girls dance who cares? He actually went to a strip club for my cousin's husband's bachelor party and he hated it. He said it was disgusting. So truth be told I don't think he will go to another strip club.

To each his own. My friend LOVED going to a male strip club in AC, and it actually was so much fun. I wouldn't want it, but no I see why it can be funny and and fun, if the bride is into it.

I went to a male strip club and it was the funniest/ most enjoyable part of the bachlorette party weekend!

I mean I understand not liking them personally, but you don't know who does what in order to support themselves or their families.

I'm not posting: girls night in with games and no alcohol because you don't feel comfortable going out without FH/FW ewwwwwwww.

I'm with they/them. To each their own. Calling someone's profession "ew" isn't cool. There may be ladies on these forums who work as strippers, and bashing them (while inadvertently) isn't cool.

@E-tex I will never hear the word "stripper" again without thinking "lifesavers."

I agree the ew title is harsh.

I'm not a fan of MALE strippers, unless its Channing Tatum or Twitch from Magic Mike XXL. (Or Alcide..whatever the actor's name is. lol)

Female strippers are totally fine by me. I'm actually usually the one getting lap dances when DH and I go. Smiley smile

I didn't want male strippers at mine...didn't care if DH went to a strip club, although we usually go together, but they didn't. They actually just ended up drinking and walking Fremont Street.

    To each their own.

FH went to a strip club before the wedding and they had a blast. I trust him completely and I don't think its fair to put down a profession because you don't agree with it, that's ignorant. Absolutely depends on the person/couple and their boundaries.

For the record, if I felt like it, I could got to a male strip club, but its not my kind of thing.

The Lifesaver thread will be burned in my memory forever.

I don't want male strippers...I want female strippers, i've made this very clear to my BMs lol.

I think they do amazing work, have you ever seen a stripper on a pole? that sh!t is magical, the way they move their bodies it's ridiculous, quite frankly, makes me very jealous.

Oh and thou shalt not judge!!

I think if both the bride and groom are in agreement and have the same expectations and standards then boo ya! Go for it. FH and I, though -- we are both against having strippers and although I don't look down on the actual strippers, I just don't understand the appeal to brides and grooms to go see other naked people right before they get married. Again, though -- to each their own and more power to ya.

ETA: For me it's not about trusting FH. I trust him implicitly. I just find it inappropriate to be in that kind of environment when you're committed to someone else, especially right before you're about to get married.
