My first wedding was a courthouse and it was real to me. We were military and had a vow renewal two weeks later.

For realz. I was so mad when the one post about the FH screaming at the FIL for not contributing got hidden. I was in the middle of reading it!

Wow, good to know that my courthouse wedding won't be "real". Does this mean I can use Canadian Tire money to pay for it?

Pepeto was an autocorrect from another post, I think it was supposed to be "People." Well, Vee commented with "Obviously Pepeto is a jerk." I spent the rest of the day in tears of laughter and I may or may not have wet my pants.

I gotta say, when I first started posting to WW, I was punched in the face with so many rude comments that I was in absolute shock and was caught way off guard. Just asking for advice about the simplest things and instead I would get memes and snarky comments. I am guilty of hidden posts lol just for that reason. But I don't hide them anymore I learned

I don't understand why so many people think there is nothing in between going to the courthouse and having 200 people in a ballroom. There are plenty of things in between, and we do them every week.

I find it really insulting when people say they 'only' got married at the courthouse. Yes, there are several really pretty ones, NYC included, but you had a choice to make even the smallest wedding a nice one. And regardless of the choices you made, that's your wedding. You can choose to tell your parents, you can choose to do a giant party later and tell no one; that's your business, but that's your wedding.

I wish I had seen it. I'm having a beautiful, intimate courthouse wedding. At the end of the day, I will be married just like all of the beautiful brides having a large (or small, or other type of) wedding. #noshameinacourthousewedding
