Starting wedding planning all over

Shequia, on July 5, 2020 at 8:50 AM Posted in Planning 0 14
So covid-19 has officially ruined my original plans for my wedding. I had to officially cancelled my Vegas wedding for October 2 and now has to plan a local wedding in less than 3 months. Sigh I guess I just have to make it work.

So sorry that your Vegas wedding was cancelled! I'm sure you will be able to plan a really awesome local wedding that will be just as good as (or better than!) your original plan! I know the timeline is short, but with many people postponing to next year, you may have an easier time than normal for finding vendors for this year. Good luck, you've got this!

We were also getting married in Vegas in October but postponed to October 2021 (same place, same vendors). Were you unable to get a new 2021 date in Vegas with your vendors? Just an idea hat would keep you from starting over in such a short time.

To be frank, we are being celibate during our engagement. I might kill someone if I wait another year sex ,😂😪

I totally understand, but I definitely think it could be difficult to plan on wedding in three months. The first thing I would find would be a venue and caterer. Once you have those, hopefully you will be able to find the other vendors quickly.

I have a venue now who will do the decorating and set up and break down. So that's the battle

Haaa! I totally understand (especially given all of the pandemic stress). I was thinking only a few months postponed. Definitely doesn’t have to be a year (that was just OUR plan to, hopefully, get past all of this early covid craziness)

Oh no why’d you have to cancel? I know this must be frustrating. My venue in SC just opened back up and are allowing us to keep wedding date of July 13. I’m attending a wedding in Vegas on the 17th though. Are they shutting things down again?

I live in Philadelphia and they just put a travel restrictions to Nevada. It might lift by October but it's too close for comfort for us

Ah man. Yeah that’s too close! Thanks for letting me know about the travel restriction. May need to see if there’s one here also

Oh man! That's so unfortunate. We're Vegas locals and in the long run decided to keep it simple and just get married here. My dream wedding is CA which we started and forcibly had to cancel so even though I'm still excited it's just not what I wanted.

3 months seem like so little time, especially having to start over. Although, I'm sure whatever you come up with locally will be just as amazing. I wish you the best of luck and I'm sure it's still going to be a day to remember in the most positive way.

That's amazing! I'm glad you were able to find a venue. If they don't offer catering then that's what I would focus on next. Otherwise, I would look for a photographer, videographer (if you want one), and DJ next.
