Starbucks Cake Pops

tracee563, on April 12, 2016 at 5:20 PM Posted in Planning 0 35

My Fiance and I aren't going with a traditional cake. We were thinking about doing cake pops instead - has anyone ever order Starbucks cake pops in large quantities? Do they even allow this?

Not sure if they do special orders but is there a reason you're set on Starbuck's? Check with local caterers. I'm sure they can do the same thing and probably much cheaper.

I believe they do. I would check with your local store and talk to the manager to discuss how much you need and when their delivery day it during the week!

I'm sure a bakery could do the same or similar flavors for much cheaper. I love the Starbucks cake pops but I'm sure a large amount would be very expensive!

Starbucks cake-pops are delivered to the stores in plastic clam-shell containers, so I bet a local baker could get you a much fresher, yummier version!

I never heard of ordering their cake pops in such large quantities, it'd be best to ask the store manager. Have you thought about a local baker? They would be able to do cake pops in your colors/design that you would like. Just an idea since if you do go with Starbucks there won't be any customizing.

Mhmm I love Starbucks cake pops! But as PP's have stated I would definitely see if a caterer could do the same for a lot cheaper!

Thanks for all the advice - I'll definitely contact the local store. We've looked into quite a few local bakeries and unfortunately Starbucks seems to be less expensive than everything else we have seen.

They are gross, IMO. I would be really disappointed if I went to a wedding that served shit from Starbucks.

They'll probably have you sign a contract or pay in advance. I used to be a Starbucks manager and that's what we would do for large special orders.

I'm not sure if you're into this, but cake pops are literally the easiest things to make.. And I usually get a lot out of one box. Depending on size of wedding, you could spend just an hour rolling up a bunch yourself for under $10.

I'd go with a bakery. They are much tastier!!! We're thinking about going the cake pop route as well. Smiley smile

No self catering please! Another alternative could be mini cupcakes? Cake pops are delish but tend to be more expensive because of the labor.

FH manages a Starbucks and he would not order that many cake pops for anyone. It is a huge hassle for the store and hard to explain when ordering. You are better off getting cake pops through a local bakery.

I know this probably sounds irrational, but cake pops creep me out. All I can think of is someone squishing perfectly good cake into a little blog and getting finger prints all over them......

We are doing cake pops, pie pops and macarons from a local bakery. Still came to $350 for 4 dozen each (including the drop off), but still way cheaper than a cake.

And haha, Celia, that's why we are letting a professional do it that hopefully knows her shit Smiley laugh (she has amazing reviews).

Am I the only person who goes to wedding excited for just regular cake?

ETA: They are cheaper than cake because they are literally 1 bite of a piece of cake.

@OP - Starbucks doesn't even make their pastries fresh - they come packaged, so I would totally get them from a bakery instead. They will be waaaaaay better
