Sports themed wedding ideas

My fiancé is a HUGE football fan. Although we are going the more traditional route, we have considered ordering a football jersey of our favorite team with our last name and the year we are getting married as the number (20) and use that as our guestbook to have our guests sign and we will frame it after the wedding.

I also am going to surprise him and order a garter that is his favorite football team, so during the garter toss, he’ll have a great reaction. I’ve seen some rlly cute ones on Etsy!

-Sports related wedding cake topper! I seen a lot of them when I shopping online.
-If you’re thinking about self catering the appetizers you can Pinterest sports themed finger foods.
-You can also use songs that’s played at sports games as your grand entrance into the reception.
-Decorate your head table with hockey sticks crossing and have y’alls initials on them.
-You can probably incorporate something sports related in the table centerpieces.

Omg we are both HUGE football fans as well. Incorporate it into save the dates. Pinterest had awesome ideas like making your save the date a stadium ticket. You can buy jerseys with your new last name. A football with your date. Pinterest is your best friend

I've seen people post on here before about using a jersey of their favorite player for a guest book. Writing names on the number part so it's easy to see.

We're probably playing our hockey teams victory song as our recessional.

My ENTIRE wedding is themed around the Philadelphia Phillies.

Our STDs were pictures of us at a baseball diamond, in our jerseys and hats (and some dressed up, too).

Our invites were from an Etsy seller who does them in your team's colors with logos.

Our cake will be white with baseball seams, and Phanatics on top.

Seating chart - FH wants to make it like a lineup card.

Table numbers - our favorite players.

Colors - red and blue for the team, purple as the unifying color (and also my favorite).

Centerpieces - purple flowers with red or blue flowers in a half baseball (foam) base.

Then some surprises on my dress...

A friend just openly wondered if we were having home plate for the "altar" and now we need to make one...

Oh, yes, and recessing down the aisle to an instrumental of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame".

So, um, yeah. Baseball!!

Hey there! My cousin had a local NBA announcer introduce the wedding party like the local home team live (he is a friend of the family). You could have the same guy pre-record your wedding party intros and have your DJ play them, or hire a local guy from his favorite team. www.jpsvoice.com
