Special Touches to your wedding!

Amber, on February 29, 2020 at 11:43 AM Posted in Style and Décor 2 6
Hey everyone as my wedding is coming along (10/10/20) I’ve been trying to find unique ways to decorate on a budget!

What are some unique things you’re adding or have added to your wedding?
I’ll start, a friend of mine is in art school, she recently took up graphic design and made me this for a great price!! She took my favorite picture of my fiancé and I, and incorporated my wedding colors. Had it done in less than a day and now I’m having it printed out on a big canvas for the wedding. I love it because not only is it supporting a striving artist but it’s something unique and special to ME that’ll I’ll get to keep forever.
The artists name is Ambriana, her Instagram is @artbyambriana and her original
price for a 2 person portrait is $30 but if you follow her she does specials every now and then!

That’s really pretty and very sweet of her! I do have a quick question and I’m really not trying to be rude! But I’ve been doing a LOT of research to make sure my grammar rules are correct because I’m going to have a last name that ends in “S”. If your new last name is “Wells” I do believe it should be “The Wellses” according to the AP Style book and The Chicago Style. I’m sorry for pointing it out! I just know if it were me, I’d want to know.

    Again, it’s very cute!

It’s all in preference. Personally I think Wellses is awkward and none of his family has ever referred themselves as that and we won’t be either. I was already aware of the unique situation but thank you for making sure!

My family's name ends with two S and everyone just puts an apostrophe at the end of their name , not sure if it's right or wrong !

Wellses is correct if I was referring to more than one and Wells’ would be if I was being possessive. But it’s YOUR name so it’s all about what you want and the family I’m marrying into has just always done “The Wells” it’s all about what you want (: Wellses is too awkward for me.

I think just the whole idea of our wedding was unique e.g we got married at the church we met and we had the reception at a place we had an early date at when we first started dating so everything was really like a tribute to our love story. Other touches included his suit had our initials stitched into it
