So I have really thin, well i guess fine, hair that doesn't like to stay curled... I've looked at tons of hair pictures and they all seem to be down and curled or up and curled! I rarely see ones for people who have straight hair... ugh... does anyone have any suggestions??? I've got a hair trial on...

I rarely see ones for people who have straight hair... ugh... does anyone have any suggestions??? I've got a hair trial on sat and I'm kinda stressed... I really want to wear it loosely back at the base of my head either centered of off to the side... and I have bangs that i'd like to keep out... I just don't know what to make the "bun" (we'll just call it that) look like... or just the back of it i guess... I'm thinking about wearing a feather thing in it like toward the back or maybe one of those ribbon head bands... all your help is appreciated!!!!!

    Hi Kelsey,

In my humble opinion [and in my hairdresser's too Smiley smile], it's always best to work with what you have. Two reasons for this:

    1. You'll know it will keep the style as it's meant to

    2. When you look back at the pics/videos years later you'll recognise yourself Smiley smile and not some 'other' person you turned out to be at your wedding only!

There are loads of styles of the net suitable for people with dead straight hair (and fine hair). I have fine hair too but a little backcombing should help that problem and is very fashionable this year.

Try theknot.com they have a really good gallery of hairstyles which I think would suit you.

    Good luck!

PS and whatever happens at your hair trial make sure to tell your hairdresser if you're not convinced!
