This song came on the radio when I was with my mom the other day... we both got goosebumps!! We're gonna play it at the wedding =0)

I'm going to do a mother-daughter dance to this song I'm super close to my mom, and it wouldn't feel right dancing with my dad and not her.

Getting married tomorrow and this is the song the mothers are walking to. this is especially for my stepmother who has raised me since i was 4

@ STB Mrs. Allen - OMG ME TOO!!! i love carrie underwood so naturally when i heard that she had a new song i turned it up real loud and listened super close and when i realized what the song was about and how ridiculously sweet it was it totally lost it. i want to send it to my mom or something. i know we wouldn't be able to have a mother daughter dance cuz i would giggle way too much so i'll have to think of something else!

I Love This Song!! The video is great. I love that her Mother and Husband are both in the video. The words could not be more perfect.

Damn you girls have me crying over here at midnight!!! My mom has been my best friend throughout my whole life and has been closer to me than any of my friends ever have. She really did help me navigate through love to where I am today. Broke my heart when I moved across country a couple of days after the wedding but I am in very capable hands with my husband.

Lilly I was very close like that with my Mother too. I moved really far away from her and it broke both of our hearts. Something that helped us deal with it better was to have a set day every week to talk. Of course this was before people had unlimited long distance so we had to pay to talk. We would also make plans while we were together so we knew when we would be seeing each other again. Luckily there is now Facebook and all kinds of avenues to stay in touch. Boy, I sound like I am really old and grew up in the ice ages. And did I mention I used to walk two miles to school up a hill in the snow with holes in my shoes???

Britt's Mom - you're right its easier now days with web cam and all that stuff. We will eventually move back to the west coast in a couple of years but Ill still probably not end up in my hometown. Im getting used to it and its getting easier being away from her and the rest of my family but its still not the same. I could never imagine having a child without my mom being close by when I was younger but I think i'll be able to handle it

I am crying right now. I just watched the video. I miss my mom. Half a world away. I love my FH and he is wonderful but I have never been so far from home and sometimes missing home is over powering.
