Someone (wedding planner?) to set up the reception space?

Elizabeth, on September 8, 2019 at 9:46 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 9

Hey, a lot of my wedding is still up in the air, but I have a venue in mind for the reception and the ceremony will be at my parents' church. I love the venue and am getting a good deal because I used to work on the property, but they only allot 2 hours beforehand for set-up, during which the ceremony and travel to the reception site would take place to avoid a big gap between the two. So if I, the wedding party, and my guests will be occupied, is there someone I can hire to set up? Would a day-of wedding coordinator do this? Would some other service provider do this? It would mostly be setting up the linens and putting out whatever I decide for centerpieces (the space already has cute lighting and provides the tables and chairs). I don't need them to provide the decor, just to put it on the tables. Any suggestions?

My DOC and her team takes care of full setup and breakdown and that is part of her contract. Maybe check with the venue and vendor contracts to be sure Smiley smile

Sounds like you just need to hire a day of coordinator to do all of this for you!

Definitely a Day Of Coordinator, and you might be able to find someone who can bring an assistant along so there can be someone setting up and you can still have someone with you during the ceremony to keep an eye on things.

Day of Coordinator! A DOC would be perfect for this situation.

My wedding planner and her team helped with this, but my florist did the majority of the decor details and setup. The venue coordinator also helped facilitate vendors when they arrived and directed them on where to set up

You could hire a day-of coordinator yes, but that could be pricey. Is there a member of your family or a friend not in the bridal party you trust enough to do this?
