Someone explain to me what a wedding hashtag is

It's supposed to be so you can click it and see your photos in one place, but if people have a private profile it won't show up. I've never seen one really used. We didn't have one and we still got the photos people took.. They just tagged us in them.

If people go to your wedding when they upload their pictures from your wedding day they will use the # you create so like that later on you can see and have all pictures ect.. I say yes make one is fun my friend did it when she got married.

They aren't used too much but they can be fun and useful.

We are using one, we have a lot of friends and family around our age. So they are hooked on instagram and Facebook, so we wanted to use it to find all the pictures people will take, Incase they don’t tag us.

I've never seen one used, maybe I'm getting old lol.

PPs already explained what it was, but I would say only use it if you have invited active social media users. If you have a older crowd coming to your wedding that aren’t active on social media and they see a sign with a hashtag on it, that is just going to start with everyone asking what a hashtag is and how to use it. If you have a younger invite list who is going to take pictures and share them that way, it’s a fun way for them to do that and share them with you.

I’m pro hashtags... but then again I work in social media for my job! 😁

A hashtag allows you to find all of your photos and mentions in one area instead of searching everyone’s page
