Can you change it slightly?

That's a bummer!!!! Just to insure security/privacy I would change it.

Try a subtle change (2016 switched from 16 or vice versa)

I've tried to find another way to do it by doing 2016 but I don't like it lol. I'be tried to flip flop the words because they rhyme but I don't like it as much. It's legit what I've referred to our family for the past year. Idk what to do :/

Just keep using it then. It's only a hashtag. There's only so many folk can use so some folk are bound to end up using the same one.

(It's not like it'd be less secure or anything, especially given if a bunch of folk have very similar hashtags - guests from one may mistype and end up in the hashtag of another couple)

Idc about the privacy aspect of the pictures because I will be posting them like crazy. I legit stalk all the time to see if they post anything else with them I know they have already don't their engagement shoot lol.

It doesn't matter about having the same one. It happened to me and it's not that big of a deal. As far as the display, I put up against a wine barrel next to our photo backdrop. Here's a picture. I've seen people put it on the guestbook table as well.

Having the same one really doesn't matter. Anyone looking for pictures of your's will know which wedding is the right one. We ordered a sign off etsy.

I know this is a total first world problem and really, it doesn't matter, but I would be fucking pissed if I was the other bride and you started using it. Sorry, I claimed it and too bad for you. But really, in the grand scheme of things it's super petty and does not matter.

I made a sign for ours out of a canvas and paint markers.

@lizzys it is totally a first world problem. Lol I just didn't know if it was a huge no no to go with it. But what is she gonna do? Yell at me? Lol. Where are u putting it? I figured we have a table when people first walk in where their table numbers will be listed. Or in the main area where we will have a table set up with pictures and card box etc. I'm torn :/

I'm putting mine on the same table as the escort cards so that hopefully people see it when they walk in. Once those are all picked up I was thinking of asking the coordinator to move it, maybe to the bar or something?

There are 2 other public posts under my wedding hashtag, related to somebody else's wedding. At first I was annoyed, but it's honestly not a big deal. Unless you're date twins, then that could be weird.

I had a few small signs with our hashtag scattered around the venue. Near the bar, near the guestbook, and I think with some of the food.

I put mine on a sign by the photo booth. Weirdly, someone had the same as ours too which is weird because it used our last name and we don't have a common one... Honestly, not many people used it.

What is your hashtag, if you don't mind sharing it? Maybe we can help you. Mine was taken so I added a 16 on the end. Would yours work if you take the 16 off?

No I can't take it off because then there are thousands of pictures lol

I am going to have one sign either at the escort card table or at the sign in table that says something along the lines of "tag your photos" with the Facebook and Instagram sings and our hashtag and then we have one set of cocktail napkins that has our hashtag and then koozies that have our hashtag so people will be walking around with them all night.

ETA: We are not doing favors so they can take the koozie home as a favor. It says "Thank you for sharing this special day with us, and our names" on the back.

I say just use it. Someone had the same as ours and I just went with it. I had a poster made and also had it printed in our programs. We got married in a old movie theater.

I am having the same problem. Our last names are probably a goldmine for some funny ones or at least punny ones. I was thinking of starting my own thread to see what people come up with here to see if there's anything better but when I searched the first, it was a volunteer day event and the second, someone stole it but they did the pun using only half of their last name when it's FH's exact last name, so I got even more mad. Definitely #firstworldproblems lol
