Solitaire enhancer as wedding band?

MzRosaLu, on March 14, 2015 at 10:47 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9

Just wondering what types of wedding bands you ladies with solitaire engagement rings picked out. We've been looking around, trying to get a sense of what our ring budget will be. Curious to see what the rest of you have chosen...and whether any of you have decided to use an enhancer/ring guard as a wedding band?

I have a round solitaire ring with plain thin platinum . I plan on getting a pave band (probably about 2ct for the band). i think the band is about 3k. Im not a fan of a lot of metal showing so i will not be getting an enhancer. I love my e-ring so I want my wedding band to compliment it. We have looked at bands once but haven't 100% decided. FH liked a wedding band that actually had bigger pave stones than i liked... who knows Smiley smile i like the look of separate rings so in the future bands can be added.

I'm sure I'll want to wear my wedding band on its own sometimes so I plan on getting a separate ring, but thinking definitely a diamond band that compliments my e ring.

Ahh! I just picked up my band yesterday (had to be custom made to fit my tiny fingers and it took forever!). I'm not quite sure what you mean by an "enhancer" but this is what my set looks like! I still am unsure how I feel about the gaps between the rings but I love the band I got too much to really care. I loooooove my e-rig but wanted to add a little sparkle. The ring was $1200 for rose gold.

ETA: Googled enhancers and now I know exactly what you're talking about. Personally I think they look weird, plus you would never be able to wear your band by itself! Something to think about.

Thanks for your input ladies. I am leaning towards a diamond eternity band myself, but FH had mentioned wanting to add an enhancer to my ring so i wasn't sure. June, your rings are lovely!

I just got a simple band. I was originally going to get a wrap but opted against it just in case I didn't want to wear my ering.

Beautiful, Di! And you're right... I think I would want the option to wear just my wedding band, rather than both, at times.

Many women who wear solitaire engagement rings select a simple, classic wedding band to go with their ring. Enhancer/ring guards are another excellent option. Forever Moissanite has lovely and affordable ring options.
