There will be times when you will want to wear only the band. I have had several friends who had them soldered together and hated it after a few months.

Ahh I take it back, I just looked at your ring. It's an enhancer rather than a separate band right? Then I would say go for it! Smiley smile

As far as getting your rings soldered, I would just wait til after the wedding. Why do one more thing that you don't necessarily have to do before the wedding?

FH got me a sapphire ring from there and I paid $40 for insurance for it. It costs $30 something just to get it resized, so the insurance was definitely worth it. Also, State Farm does insurance on anything you want, no questions asked if something happens to it. Something you might want to look into.

I worked in a jewelery for store many years.

You can ult. get them soldered together if you want but as Sharon said most women decided they dont' want it after they do it. So my personal suggestion is to wear BOTH rings for a couple months and then decide.

As far as cost and insurance buy your band were your engagment ring came from. Typically most jewelers will solder them for you for free if you by both rings in the same location and the insurance. If not it ranges between 49 to 89 or more depending on the type of ring color: such as yellow gold, white gold, etc. \

I got married for the second time three years ago and chose to have my rings soldered prior to the ceremony. Both of my rings were custom made and the designer did it for me two days prior to the wedding so I was not without my rings for any long period of time. My wedding band can not be worn separately so be soldered is perfect and according to the jeweler is in not permanent. As far as insurance is concerned my rings are insured through our home owners. If you don't have a home owners than you can insure through your apartment insurance. A private appraisal will be required.

Hello! I’m wondering if I get my rings covered and they’re soldered, would insurance consider this one ring if I ever lose it and it needs to be replace?
