Solar Eclipse Wedding?

I'd hope not, as we're being warned that we need to buy gas and groceries a week ahead of time to prepare for the traffic apocalypse that's coming. That would also be a Monday morning wedding (in Oregon, in the path of totality).

I hope not either. We are in the path of the total eclipse where I live (SE Tennessee) and all the hotels AND scary motels are booked starting this Friday. Our area is going to be slammed with lots and lots of people.

Hopefully not, unless they want a bunch of guests waking up blind the next day.

On one hand - this would be super cool - provided you provided all of your guests glasses

On the other hand - as someone living in the path of totality - I'm irked by all the tourists and inconveniences this eclipse is causing to flood to our area.

In Florida, they're holding kids in school until after it's over so there's no safety issues.

@HisBeauty they let our kids off school for it! they don't want that liability

I wish they would here! My son however, hates missing school. lol

I found out my cousins bf is planning to propose to her during the eclipse! They're driving down so they'll be in the path of totality and it's so cute and cheesy but he said it's bc she's his 1 in a million.

M coworker is getting married on eclipse day! She didn't plan it that way...she just wanted a Monday wedding in August and found out months later that it's eclipse day. I believe the ceremony starts around 3pm ET though, so the eclipse will be over by then, but still something cool for her and her guests earlier in the day.

I am having my official wedding on the Eclipse day. We didn't plan it out that way. We actually found out that it was going to be on that day about halfway through planning. We were thinking we were going to be super sneaky about the wedding on a Monday and get stuff cheaper.. we are planning on doing a couple photo sessions before the wedding with the eclipse to make it special and to get some really cool memories!!

One of my good friends is proposing to his gf during it. They're doing a harbor cruise. I'm excited for them!

I swear I think I'm the only one who could care less about the eclipse! I'm right on the border of SC and all hotels are booked up here too.
