Just got engaged, yay! I wasnt expecting it to be so stressful and we are years out lol. We are planning on out of state. Started discussing things and looking at venus. What is really the first thing we should figure out? Ok so we decided on cali but not exactly sure where. 50 people or less. I have a hard time making desicions and planning things my brain just runs several different directions.

First thing just think about how many people and what time of year you want to get married and a budget, then scope out some venues - review the info they give you and pick the best fit for you budget and needs. But you want a place to have your wedding and a date before you start doing everything else.

Budget comes first!! Then communication with SO about what you two each want. Then budget talking! Then more communication! And then sticking to the budget.
Budget drives everything. Get yourself a planner to spread out all your thoughts in, and be sure to communicate (if I haven’t mentioned that already). A planner will help give you timelines and focus. And they’ll all tell you to start with budget.
